About the property

INTRODACQUA

Introdacqua translates loosely to "where the water comes in" and its location between two waterways already tells you something about this tiny town tucked away in a canyon near Sulmona. The ancient centre is dominated by the profile of a stone fortress wall in which a recently restored square shaped tower was part of the medieval castle. In the highest part of Introdacqua is a wall showing proof of the presence of the italic people.

Within the village the church of SS. Annuziata houses a church bell of roman origin and buildings of the 500&rsquos to 700&rsquos are worthy of exploration. The canyon itself is green and lush home to the flora and fauna of Abruzzi as well as many lovely walking trails. While Introdacqua is a quiet paradise the city of Sulmona is only minutes away and offers many social activities and market adventures.

This lovely two bedroom home was renovated from a complete ruin to its present and most comforstate. There is an umbrella covered patio with seating next to the entry stairway outside. Perfect for morning coffee to read a novel on the swinging lounger or just enjoying the flowers and the sweet bird calls.

The main floor has an open feel from the kitchen to the living area with a cozy fireplace. The kitchen includes all the basics plus a dishwasher and clothes washer cleverly hid behind wood cabinet doors. Up the handcrafted wooden staircase is a large bathroom with shower and two bedrooms. One bedroom has "matrimonio" bed (US Queen size) and the other bedroom has two twin beds.
